IMHO - iPhone Discounts
As you probably know, Apple announced a $200 price reduction on the 8G iPhone. There was a hue and cry from many of the early purchasers and Steve blinked. Kind of...
If you remember, back in early July, there was a big discussion about Apple predicting lower margins for the 4th quarter of fiscal 2007, which will end September 30th. They tried to explain it away with a lot of double talk at the time.
Of course since then they have announce iMacs with bigger screens and aluminum cases instead of plastic. Now they have announced the price reduction on some iPods and the iPhone with $100 discounts to current owners.
Doesn't this make it sound like they had it all planned. It does to me. Would love to hear what you think.
