It is not unusual for a computer user to need new drivers for various reasons. DriversPlanet helps the user to find them.
Drivers are listed by device type. (BIOS, Input, Sound, Driver Scan, Modem, PCMCIA, System, Hard Drive, Monitor, Ports (Serial, Parallel), USB, Infrared, Network, Printer, Video and Others. Or by manufacturer.
Of course most of us already know to go the manufacture’s web site, but this site has links to them as well as by type. There is also a section for Vista drivers.
I looked to see if I could find more generic drivers, but came up short. BTW – most of these aimed at Windows users but there are some of the peripheral drivers such as printers will work with Mac OS. Don’t know about Linux.
