Computing Under Attack

Last week's main stream media news about Chinese government's involvement in widespread breach attacks on the US government computers and servers serves to underscore UGN Safenet warnings for the past year. On Friday Message Labs released their 3rd quarter report with bad news of a substantial surge in spam related virus and phishing cybercrime activity.

According to last week's MessageLabs' Intelligence Report for September virus and phishing levels have significantly increased, reaching levels not seen since early 2006. MessageLabs also exposes a second wave of highly targeted C-level and senior management email attacks with increased sophistication and outreach.
