This is kind of a strange year for Apple Expo Paris. Apple has been off making iPhone announcements all over Europe, but not doing much at the Expo. Of coruse, in the past Apple has made many product announcement in Paris. And since the demise of the east coast MacWorld Expo we have come to expect more from Apple Expo.
However, there were a number of products shown at Apple Expo and MacGeneration made product awards.
MacGeneration gives awards to the best products available on the Mac platform, and presents the results of the Trophées MacGeneration 2007.
The awards are given based on reader selection. This year, they selected nine products. Additionally a special award was granted to Skitch by a jury composed of MacGeneration, MacBidouille, MacNews.de and MacsimumNews.
The awards were:
* iPod Touch as the “best Apple product”.
* La Cie FireWire Speakers as the “best hardware”.
* Adobe Creative Suite 3 as the “best professional creative software”.
* FileMaker Pro 9 as the “best productivity software”.
* OpenOffice.org as the “best open source software”.
* Boinx FotoMagico as the “best creative software”.
* Titanium’s Software Onyx as the “best OS X utility”

A special award has been granted to Skitch by a jury composed of MacGeneration, MacBidouille, MacNews.de and MacsimumNews.
