Virtual ACT! Users Group

The Virtual ACT! Users Group will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, July 17, 2006 at 6:30 PM EST The meeting is sponsored by nationally known ACT consultant, author and trainer, Karen Fredricks, of Tech Benders.

Fredricks is organizing and serving as the moderator for the evening. The meeting will focus on ACT database maintenance and the proper way to backup an ACT database. Users log into the meeting site on the Internet and access a conference call to allow them to attend the meeting virtually as well as pose any questions or comments they have.

According to Fredricks, "The ACT Users Group has been going strong for the last 6 years because of the loyalty of ACT Users. Many of those ACT users don’t fully understand the proper way to maintain and backup an ACT database."

"Users have a lot of misconceptions when it comes to backing up an SQL database such as ACT ," continued Fredricks. "Unfortunately, they often find out too late that they don’t have a proper backup on hand."
