Mac Software to Get You Through College
The Students' blog has a list of software that you need to get through colllege when using a Mac.
The list includes links, but the recommendations are interesting.
NeoOffice, GIMP (Photoshop like), Inkscape (like Illustrator), QuickSilver (shortcuts), iProcrastinate (to do list, calendar,more), ffmpegX , VLC Media Player, Adium (chat), CCC (Carbon Copy Cloner), iAlertU (theft alarm), Senuti (music from iPods to Mac), and MacStumbler (finds Wi-Fi).
The list seems a little dated, but it would be a good part to start. And it does have a publish date of 7/19/07.
