John Dvorak has long been known as a Mac basher. Perhaps a little unfairly, since he was paid to be the “devil’s advocate” at Mac User magazine in the 80′s and early 90′s. But now in a Fox News column, he admits to using a Mac on a job.
He says they offered to get him a Mac or a PC and “Since the place was essentially a Macintosh shop, I requested an iMac (with a second screen so I didn’t look like a complete schlub).”
“Hey, I figured since I’m known for ragging on the Mac all the time, I may as well speak from some experience, right?”
From what he says in the balance of the article, i think he gets most of why the Mac should be preferred for a lot of people.
