Mozy
I am sure that as a user group volunteer you have often told members to back up and to keep an off site backup copy as well.
Of course, Mac users have .Mac for synchronizing bookmarks, contacta etc and can use iDisk with iSync for backing up other files. However that service costs $99 per year. (At least for now, there are all kinds of rumors floating.)
But what if you need more space than .Mac can give you even if you are willing to pay the extra funds.
Mozy is a new backup service. Two gigabytes are FREE. For less than $5 a month, you can have unlimited backup. You can restore at any time from the net or you can have them mail you a DVD for a fee of$29.95 and get it overnighted via FedEx for $35 + $.50/gigabyte.
