Install and Boot OS X On a Flash Drive
Of course, Flash Drives are USB for the most part. So you would think youl need an Intel Mac to get it to boot from a USB Drive, except...
that the author here says that his plans only work for PowerMacs. He hasn't tried it on an Intel one. For requirements, you will a flash drive at least 1 GB in size. With a 1 GB disk, there was only 11.6MB available after booting.
