AT&T Activation Issues
Scott Bourne of the Apple Phone Show podcast and web site has an article concerning his iPhone activation issues. He waited for hours for activation.
He later got the phone to activate by turning it of and on.
He says however that if there were credit issues it can be a big hazzle to get activated and porting a number can also slow things down.
