Zen Wav rivals Nano

The smooth new Zen Wav is positioned to take another shot at Apple's iPod Nano...

The Zen Stone has been making circles, with smooth curves and glossy finish -- ultra-compact MP3 player that fits in almost any pocket! (Pic)

But according to "Anything But iPod" they are about to take another stab at Apple's iPod. Supposedly, the Zen Wav will have a smooth, rounded metallic (or metal-like) shell similar to the iPod nano. By using the small directional pad borrowed from the Zen V line (Pic), however, the company will integrate a pair of speakers to provide public listening; a 1.5-inch screen; an FM radio, and recording for either its voice microphone or a direct line-in jack. Rumor has it that the Zen Wav will hit Singapore this week, around $117U.S.

If you look at Creative's Zen Vision W, 16:9 widescreen, 30 to 60GB models, you will see it's got everything you crave EXCEPT a cell phone. How far behind can that be?
