mac.blorge.com, a popular rumors site reports: "iPhone maker notes some of the problems associated with touch-screen interfaces" ... But Mac Blorge says:
> "The solution the patent described would include a touch-sensitive surface on the opposite side of the screen where users would direct a cursor on the main screen by gliding a finger along the back surface corresponding to the control, triggering actions by applying extra pressure." Interesting, it continues: "The filing indicates that the technology could be applied to mobile telephones, palm or hand-held personal computers, tablet computer systems, portable video players, portable audio players and personal digital assistants." See for yourself
All you have to do is a Flicker search for the keyword: "iPhone"
But the two I like best are the
iBone, and this really funny
Parody : The ofone - Microsoft's armor against Apple's iPhone! about a new phone handset to go against Apple's iPhone and also being very creative with its prototype name by calling it the ofone
All in all it's fun to watch the iPhone story as it unfolds. And, as I predicted over two years ago -- an iPod / iPhone could be the first mobile device I buy. We'll see.
