Ever wondered what else you can do with Google Maps besides just looking at them? Well, they have provided hooks so that programmers can add value to the maps.

Some examples:

This map shows over 300 web camera views for all over the world divided into 11 categories. It also has links to photos for each location.
GeoGreeting
This shows a map with a "hidden" message that you create. Each letter of your message is an arial photo of a building shaped like that letter.
Quicktime Panaramas

One Hit Wonders
We all know of rock artists who have only had one hit. This Google Map with several of these artist represented, links their home town to a YouTube video of them performing their hit.
