Wi-Fi equipped iPod on the horizon?

According to DigiTimes last Friday Apple plans on adding Wi-Fi to its iPods in time for the Holiday season.

This is after Zune and players by Creative and SanDisk have added Wi-Fi to the mix.
It looks like Apple may be late to this party. But then, they will undoubtedly have a better implementation than that of the Zune.

It is possible that these will enable iPods to directly download music and video from the iTunes store by passing a computer.
