UGN Salutes: VMUG

Village Macintosh User Group from Hot Springs Village, AR.

The Village Macintosh User Group (VMUG) is located in beautiful Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, about 60 miles south west of Little Rock, and 15 miles from Hot Springs National Park. They have a very active MUG consisting of about 77 members, mostly very active retired persons.

VMUG members report:

"Most of our members love the "Village" as much as we love our Macs. We have a varied group of members, from the "new to any computer, to some very experienced Mac users."

Officers Glenn Heilemann and Ernie Smith keep the group buzzing with programs and services. Once a member, all meetings, sig's (special interest groups), training materials, tutorial CD-ROMS (check out), books from our library, news letter, and any other instructional classes are free. Everything is included with the nominal annual dues. Their membership year runs from January through December of the year -- there is no charge to you as a prospective member or visitor for your first three meetings.

Each month they send out the newsletter, Nexus. David Pease, editor does a wonderful job keeping members informed about everything new at Apple, within the club.
