Microsoft goes after the iPod market…
Yes, as we predicted, Microsoft has at last announced the specifications for its Zune music and video player — and only waited two days after Apple introduced the enhanced fifth generation video capable iPod. It’s boasting built-in wireless Zune-to-Zune sharing technology so users can share experiences from device to device. Hmmmmm. Sounds like a crowd-pleaser. (Photo)
The 30GB digital media player will also harken the opening of an online community that will enable music fans to discover new music — with built-in FM tuner, 3-inch screen and comes in three colors; black, white and… er, ugh, brown? Zuneland will send out three new songs each day you can purchase after three days. Comes pre-loaded with songs for those too lazy to download their own.
Should be available by the holiday gift season.
