That familiar chorus line from the Dixie Chicks’ song has been coined by an ever-growing segment of the video game playing community…
They are turning the tables on video game violence with a new high-caliber shoot-’em-up that puts you on the firing-line of good. Rather than posing you as a gangster thug like such as games as “Grand Theft Auto” you’re now saving people not ravaging them.

The game “Left Behind” puts you on a mission from God, saving “converts” who are left behind on the last day of time — the end of the world. (Fulfillment of the “return of Christ” or “The Rapture” from the Bible.) Most importantly, you don’t have to be a card-carrying Christian or even a religious type to enjoy all the action.
It’s your mission to find and rescue converts trying to survive the violent destruction of Manhattan — give them food and shelter so you can train them into a resistance force against the Antichrist.
Left Behind: Eternal Forces is the first game adapted from the blockbuster books by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. It’s not on shelves yet, but you can pre-order and get the first boxes to roll out. Visit the site to see lots of screen captures and watch live game action. (Via rather large QuickTime videos.)
Some seem to think this will boost the fledging “Christian” video game industry to new heights. Good for them! Now, THIS is what you can call “Intelligent Design” !

Fred used sort of a misleading title to this article — just to get readers!
However, I feel that was justified because this is an important message in the current rage of violence and crime ridden computer and video games for kids.
BRAVO, Fred!
(Next time, a better title, maybe?)
