Photoshop Elements 4 for Mac

Elements 4
Well, Adobe has finally brought Elements to market for Mac users -- but NOT for Intel Mac users... yet. Hey, Adobe has hungry mouths to feed... you can pay again to get the universal version. Don't complain -- it's better than coughing up the dough for Photoshop CS3.

Some of the improvements over version 3 include:

Magic Selection Brush:
Quickly retouch specific areas in an image. Easily select by brushing over any element of your photo to make a range of adjustments to a specific area or object.

Improved, more realistic skin tones
Easily adjust skin tones for a more natural look, even in poorly lit photos.

Remove Backgrounds

Easily isolate objects from backgrounds -- Use the Magic Selection Brush and Magic Extractor tool to quickly separate an object from its background — even in complex, textured areas — and instantly remove rough edges.

Fine-tune your camera's raw files

Enjoy nondestructive photo processing and fine-tune exposure and lighting by working directly with the raw image files from your digital camera. Easily convert raw files to the universal Digital Negative (DNG) format to help ensure you'll always be able to open and use your photo files in the future.

Better image cataloging:

Know where your photos are -- Already created folders on your hard drive? Easily access your photos and add, delete, or move folders using the Folder View. Even create folders to hold Collections.

The price for Elements 4 is still $89 (Upgrade for $69) a great value for a powerful image editor. Considering that it includes Bridge and the latest version of Camera Raw, this application is all most hobbyist photographers would ever need.
