MySpace defends itself
Chris DeWolfe, MySpace co-founder, defends the site in a telephone interview with WWMT News Channel 3...
"People who put themselves at risk on MySpace, would be doing so elsewhere."
DeWolfe said MySpace gets a lot of attention because it has so many members, but he said the site simply offers a collection of tools already widely used online: personalized home pages, instant messaging, e-mail, Web logging and video sharing.
"is as safe as anyplace in the offline"
In the mean time, news continues to emerge about the risks...
Middletown Press reporter JOSH MROZINSKI, reports:
"Court proceedings involving an 18-year-old male charged in connection with threats made against East Hampton High School students on the Web site, MySpace.com, have been continued to March 27 -- held on a $5,000 non-surety bond, is facing charges of second-degree harassment and second-degree breach of peace.
