Yahoo and Others Look at Buying AOL
What is slowing down discussion is that Time Warner wants to maintain a controlling interest.
AOL is truely flying lower than ever. Steve Case certainly struck while the iron was hot when he had AOL purchase Time Warner several years ago.
It is going to be interesting to see how things play out.
AOL is a player in the MP3 download business, but Time Warner recently purchased Circuit City's MP3 download company, which would seem to be setting up competition from with in the company. But then neither is really selling much music.
